Complete 3 - Dore Roof Edge & Gate Refurb

Dore Eaves, Soffits and Fascia plus Gate Paint Renovation

This roofing and gate paint job was completed during our little indian summer in time for the seasonal change!

Gutters were cleaned out as standard,  two coats of Dulux weathershield and one gloss finish (brilliant white) were applied using the dulux weathershield exterior 3-part  system. This gives a long-lasting, high gloss protection for exterior woodwork, containing a fungicide to inhibit mould growth on the paint film and help it stay clean longer, providing an 8 year weathering durability when used as part of the full weathershield exterior paint system. The roof eaves have also been protected in Sadolin durable extra-mahogany finish to give that rich wood look.

The gates were spot primed in zinc phosphate to treat rust and prevent corrosion following an extensive rust removal, and finished in black semi-gloss topcoat steel and cladding paint to give a clean new-look finish.

Thorough preparation work to render was undertaken, including scraping back loose and flaky paintwork where necessary and applying stabilising solution to the substrate. Gutters were unblocked, repaired and bitumen applied for instant protection/waterproofing.

The Dulux Weathershield system was used to give longer lasting protection for the exterior woodwork open to the elements, as well as  three coats of Weathershield Smooth masonry for it’s unique high performance resin which resists flaking and peeling.

Botanical Road – Sash Window Restoration

The task undertook restoration work on a rotten bay window and refurbishment of a selection of old sash windows to the remainder of the property. The task meant removing some wet rot, treating it with wood hardener, and building it back up with two part filler. The paintwork was then finished using the Dulux Weathershield paint system, ensuring the finish was fully weather resistant and flexible in brilliant white.
